What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa
and pedagogy?
A lot more about being connected and the positivity and benefits of being connected.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
Today I found it really interesting looking at other peoples sites that they have set up.
What makes a good site and user friendly. I found that our current Team site that we are
using does have some good features which include Visible teaching and learning,
Multimodal content, Multitext content ie a variety of texts supporting the 'main' text, Ubiquitous access to learning - could the child learn by themselves eg from Starship Hospital?,
Connected (Blog links, school site), Are learners empowered (have agency) over data eg tracking sheets etc, Effective teaching practice eg NZC, learning progressions, NZQA etc
What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
I learned that the google site is generally very user friendly and a one stop shop for
teachers, students and parents. What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?
Spam. Thanks for the tip. I have definitely had that issues.
Hi Stu,
ReplyDeleteI really njoyed looking at the different sites today too - I thought your team's site was really great and gave me plenty of ideas for my own. I also thought the feedback was useful. It's easy to see the things we still have to do, but important to reflect on all the things we are doing well too.
I watched the video in your last post about creating buttons and am defintiely bookmarking that on my own youtube account - Thank you!
See you next week, Lindsay.
Kia ora Stu,
ReplyDeleteRemember if you are writing your blog post somewhere else and then pasting it into blogger you need to use CTRL + SHIFT + V to paste without formatting so the text doesn't run off the page. Or if you've already put it there, there is a T with an x which allows you to remove the formatting.
