Week 9 DFI Reflections

Week 9 DFI Reflections

What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa

and pedagogy?

Overall in the last 8-9 weeks I feel I have increased my understanding of the

Manaiakalani kaupapa in many ways. I like how the teaching and learning is clearly

the umbrella mechanism to activate and sustain the pedagogy, which is essential for

learning, whānau engagement and device readiness. The constant reflection on how

well students/teachers

are doing in relation to the Learn Create Share pedagogy. The Learn/Create/Share

pedagogy moves us towards visible and ubiquitous learning, strong learner agency and

connectedness to grow my capabilities.

What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a

professional?

Many around the use of all of the following: Docs, Meets, Slides, Sheets, Sites,

Forms,

Calendars and Groups. I had always used these tools to suit  the purposes of what

I needed them for and that's all. The last two months I have been able to extend

on my capabilities to use them more effectively. Good skills to have especially with

at home learning and being connected more effectively. Another lockdown could be

around the corner and our learning must go on!

The raised benefits of rewindable learning in many of the mahi we set up for

learners (students & staff) has been beneficial.

What did I learn that could be used with my learners, how could they use it.

I think every aspect of the Google Apps for Education can be used with

learners

depending on what app/tool is best for your desired outcome. In todays exam

there

were many scenarios where this was laid out and having the knowledge to

utilise it fully.

What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?Greater increase in knowledge in how to do things more efficiently and effectively. The increased capability of connecting with people has been beneficial to my workflow.
